Are you a high achiever who is great at getting things done, but not great at connecting with your feelings? Or maybe you're struggling with your relationship. You're committed to your spouse, but you realize you've got a wall up and you're not sure how to bring it down. I enjoy helping high achievers work to reduce anxiety and perfectionism, and deepen connections with the people they love. I am a licensed counselor in the states of GA and FL, and am a CPCS in the state of GA which qualifies me to supervise other counselors. I am trained in Gottman Method for couples (through level 3) and additionally trained in helping couples recover from affairs. I am also certified in EMDR, a trauma therapy, ERP, DBT and more. My clients know me as someone who will help them take a nonjudgmental approach to their situation, connect with deep needs that they have long ignored, and work to strengthen emotional connections in their lives.

Do you ever feel like you're "too much" and "not enough" all at the same time? This is the case for many of the folks I work with. I specialize in supporting those who have experienced religious harm, including many late-identified neurodivergent folks. I also work with people around body image concerns, coming from a weight-inclusive perspective and bring my lived experience as a fat therapist. The best way to learn more about me and my work is to visit my website - MichelleFMoseley.com - and to fill out a contact form if you think we might be a good fit to work together.

Part of choosing to engage in therapy is choosing to understand yourself more and to seek other perspectives to do so. I engage clients in collaborative processes to assist you not only in improving your relationships with others, but also enriching your relationship with yourself. I collaborate with you to cultivate an intentional life by asking questions you’ve never thought about before. I take great intention in creating a space where you feel supported and accepted, because we must feel a certain level of safety and trust in order to have the courage to change, grow, and be vulnerable.
I am a welcoming therapist with a warm energy committed to providing a client-centered approach that takes into account every aspect of your identity. I particularly enjoy working with young women in emerging adulthood (ages 18-30) but I have experience working with adults of all genders and all ages. I aim to provide LGBTQIA+, sex-positive, affirming services while incorporating a social justice anti-racist framework. In my clinical work, I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy modalities and mindfulness approaches to meet clients “where they are.”
Rupi Kaur writes “What is stronger than the human heart which shatters over and over and still lives?” I consider psychotherapy to be one way that clients strengthen their hearts, and I am continuously inspired by the resilience I see in therapy sessions every day. It is an honor to be a part of my clients’ journeys towards living more meaningful lives.

It’s important work to step into counseling as an individual or with your loved ones. I admire those who make this commitment to growth and well-being. I’m honored to come alongside clients, providing therapeutic space to be honest without judgment. I’m passionate about giving clients autonomy, providing clarity, and being open to their feedback. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where both client and therapist play important roles: the client bringing their holistic self, and the therapist empathizing, tracing patterns, providing curiosity and insight, and working together toward meeting goals and living out personal values.
I enjoy working with couples, families, individual men, women, and teens! I have experience working in non-profit outpatient counseling centers and addiction treatment centers in addition to private practice. I especially enjoy helping families affected by addiction, working with couples longing to get unstuck and to experience lasting connection, and empowering teens with space to process and skills to manage stressors. I’m also passionate about supporting individuals through transitions across the lifespan, and through personal and spiritual identity work.

She also works with spouses experiencing the demands of intense executive life styles and also C Suite women. Sheri completed a Masters in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate School in Atlanta, with specialized course work in the application of Christian Spirituality in Counseling.
Sheri’s approach in counseling is to partner with the client in a collaborative way to help them grow in self-leadership of mind, body, and spirit. She works with common obstacles which prevent us from growing into wholeness, some examples are traumas of the past, boundary conflicts, negative self-talk, emotional burdens, health issues, and difficult in patterns of relationship. Deep listening and empathy, together with sound clinical knowledge are the tools Sheri uses to provide a safe haven to explore issues interfering with the client’s goals and desires for life.
Believing that each client is a unique individual, Sheri collaborates with them to determine what specific plan and techniques are best suited for them. She pulls from mindfulness techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, and emotional regulation practices. Attachment and family systems theories are foundational to her work since identities and experiences largely result from our early influences. At the request of the client, Sheri integrates prayer and Biblical principles in the therapy room.
